Beth Protea incorporates the most modern ideas and facilities, providing a warm and caring environment for all residents.

Beth Protea is the foremost retirement facility in Israel where activities and communication are in English.

The building is spacious, blending in beautifully with its surroundings on a quiet street in Herzliya which is centrally located and near to a major shopping mall.

Beth Protea is a Southern African community project. It is a completely non commercial venture, run entirely for the benefit of the community. The seeds were planted as early as 1981, when the need for a retirement facility for the community was realised.

With the close co-operation of Telfed (www.telfed.org.il) - the South African Zionist Federation in Israel - the idea became a reality and in 1992 Beth Protea proudly opened its doors. Today Beth Protea provides the finest facilities and services for the elderly, many of whom have given the best years of their lives to Israel.

At Beth Protea the monthly charge includes one main meal per day as well as electricity and municipal costs. This enables the residents to have peace of mind, knowing exactly what their expenses will be.

The lives of the residents are filled with new friendships, new experiences and ongoing care. By remaining true to our principles, we have become a model for retirement homes and enable our residents to enjoy life to the fullest and it has brought pride to the community which supports it.
